Data deletion instructions
How to ask CenDesk to delete the personal data we hold about you.
How to request deletion
- Email support@cendesk.org with the subject “Delete my data”.
- Send it from the email address on your CenDesk account. If you contacted a company through WhatsApp or phone and have no account, tell us the company and the WhatsApp number or phone number you used.
- We may reply to confirm it is really you before we delete anything, to protect your data from someone else requesting its removal.
What we delete
- Your account details, sign-in information and linked Google sign-in.
- Your company's contact people, saved numbers and channel settings.
- Support cases and messages, including WhatsApp conversations, call notes and links to voicemail recordings that are tied to you or your account.
- Payment proofs and other files you uploaded, apart from the records described below.
What we may need to keep
Records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and invoicing records for accounting and tax, and limited data needed to resolve a dispute or keep our service secure. We keep only what is necessary and for as long as necessary.
Timing
We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your request, and we will tell you when it is done. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire.
Voicemail and WhatsApp copies held by others
Voicemail recordings are stored by our phone provider (Twilio) and WhatsApp messages also pass through Meta. We delete our own copies and the links we hold; you may also ask those providers directly about copies on their systems.
